Melbourne, Australia- E’ in corso a Melbourne la Sailing World Cup Final presented by Land Rover, l’evento finale della tormentata World Cup delle classi olimpiche. Buon inizio per l’azzurra Silvia Zennaro, terza nei Laser Radial (4-3-5-3) dietro all’olandese Bouwmeester e alla danese Rindom. Negli RS:X donne Veronica Fanciulli è nona (2-8-5-9-8-9) nella classifica guidata dalla poilacca Noceti-Klepacka.

Giovanni Coccoluto nei Laser è 14esimo (12-19-9-11). In testa il cipriota Pavlos Kontides. Terzo l’oro di Rio Tom Burton.

The Sailing World Cup Final presented by Land Rover will draw 2016 to a close with over 200 competitors from 31 nations set to race across Melbourne's St Kilda foreshore and adjacent waters from 4-11 December. Sailors in ten Olympic classes and an Open Kiteboarding competition will compete for bragging rights heading into the new Olympic quadrennial as well as a share of the $200,000 AUD prize pot.

In regata anche la dimostrativa Formula Kite, in testa il britannico Oliver Bridge.
